General Instructions
Indywood International Short Film Festival (IISFF 2019)
1. Contestants need to register online with their required details &
Competitional Category for participating in IISFF 2019 through the website:
www.indywoodtalenthunt.com on or before September 30 th 2019. Rules &
Regulations for all four competitional categories of Professional Film
Making, Amateur Film Making, Mobile Film Making & Script Writing can
be referred through the same website.
2. Contestants need to submit their Short Films (or Script, if the category is
Script Writing) on the theme: “1 Dollar = Rupee” via mail to
registration@indywoodtalenthunt.com after completing the Registration
procedure, on or before October 28 th 2019.
3. Contestants can submit the Short Film also in the format of Documentary
Film & Animation Film.
4. Short Films/Scripts submitted will be screened/reviewed (Venue to fixed
shortly) & will be judged by the Jury Panel Film Makers & Entertainment
Industry Experts from November 7 th , 8 th & 9 th 2019 (3 Days)
5. Results will be announced during closing ceremony on 3 rd day (November
9 th 2019) where the Best Short Films across the 3 Categories of
Professional Film Making, Amateur Film Making & Mobile Film
Making & the Best Script of Indywood International Short Film Festival
2019 (IISFF 2019) will be awarded with Cash Prizes.
6. Best from the following Categories will be also honored:
Director, Actor, Actress, Singer, Scriptwriter, Lyricist,
Cinematographer, Editor, Music Composer, VFX, Production
Controller, Choreographer, Art Director, Screen Writer, Supporting
Actor, Supporting Actress, sound designer, poster designer, Animator’
7. 3 Workshops/Masterclasses (One/day) across the options of
Cinematography, Acting, Film Direction, Action Choreography etc. to be
conducted (Can decide the sections depending on the Expert being
associated (or) depending on Sponsor Requirement.
8. A Participant cannot take part in more than One Competitional Category.
9. Submitted short film can be of any language but English subtitles are
mandatory
10. Each team must submit the details of all the team members before
submitting the film (team members will be able to win credits awards)
11. The submitted film must be a minimum of 1 min to 10 mins, including the
credits section
12. Runtime of the submitted short film should be below 8 mins
13. The final video must be uploaded in MP4/MOVE/MPEG-4 format. Upload
video should be strictly below 750mb.
14. For Film Making Events, the file name should be of the format: “Short
Film Name (1 Dollar = 1 Rupee) – Contesting Team Captain Name –
Competitional Event Category – Indywood International Short Film
Festival 2019)”.
(For Eg: “Greed (1 Dollar = 1 Rupee) – Ashish – Professional
Film Making – Indywood International Short Film Festival
2019”)
15. For Script Writing, the file name should be of the format: “Script Name (1
Dollar = 1 Rupee) – Contestant Name – Script Writing – Indywood
International Short Film Festival 2019)”.
(For Eg: “Greed (1 Dollar = 1 Rupee) – Ashish – Script Writing –
Indywood International Short Film Festival 2019”)
16. Team Leader should go through the agreements, terms and conditions and
discuss it with the team before registration.
17. Short Films without English subtitles will be disqualified
18. Teams are encouraged to work with local composer and musicians to write
and record music and films/ It is permissible for a participating group to use
pre-recorded music; however, the team must have rights to any music used
in the film
19. IISFF Committee parties may, in the sole discretion, disqualify films
deemed to be inappropriate or otherwise non-compliant
20. Teams cannot use stock footage or footage created earlier
21. Photographs can be used in the film, only if the team has the rights to use
them
22. Only films submitted before the deadline will be officially part of the
competition
23. Indywood Talent Hunt team may add to or amend these rules at any time
prior to the beginning of the filmmaking period, without informing the
participants.
24. Team has to use a DSLR or professional film camera with at least 1080p
video capture. A mobile camera with a minimum capture of 1080p should be
used. To assure noiseless sound quality, an external microphone should be

25. IISFF Committee reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage, if
deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its
control, or if the number of participants do not exceed the minimum number
decided by IISFF Committee for Finals.
For being eligible for the Project:
1. Films must be the original work of the team and must not infringe third-
party’s rights.
2. Must be suitable for publication and not contain obscene or indecent
material.
3. Must not contain pornographic material; may not contain defamatory
statements about any person, company, organization or entity.
4. Must not invade privacy or other rights of any person, company or entity.
5. Must not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations; and may
not contain any copyrighted elements not owned by the team.
6. Films containing prohibited or inappropriate content as determined by the
IISFF COMMITTEE, in its sole discretion, to be inappropriate will be
disqualified.
